Dharma School
The Dharma School introduces children from preschool through high school to the teachings of the Buddha and Shinran Shonin through stories, art, music and activities.

Jr. YBA (Jr. Young Buddhist Association) The Jr. YBA is a youth activity group for high school students grades 9-12. Activities are aimed to promote unity and friendship. It is a member of the Bay District Jr. YBA.

Oakland Buddhist Women's Association (OBWA)
This association encourages women of the Buddhist faith to participate in and support church, youth, and Dharma School activities and programs. It is a member of the Bay District Buddhist Women's League and the BCA Federation of Buddhist Women's Associations.

Youth Club (BCOYC) The Youth Club organizes programs for the youths in our Sangha, generally sports-related and family-youth activities. It is a member of the East Bay Youth Athletic League. The Board meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m.

Momiji-Kai (Adult Friendship Activity Program)
This group was organized to enhance fellowship amongst its members. Momiji-Kai meets twice a month to enjoy many activities of their choice.

Nippongo Gakuen (Japanese Language School)
Our Japanese language classes are held every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Issei Kaikan for elementary to high school students (September to June).

Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arrangement Classes)
This instructional class meets on the second Saturday of each month from 2-4:00 p.m. Ohara School of Ikebana with Madame Suiyo Fujimoto offers individualized attention for students at all levels.

Line Dancing Class - Here's a great way to socialize, exercise, and have fun! This class is taught by Jean Nakazono and meets every Monday at 1:00 p.m. Drop in anytime!
