Come celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Buddhist Church of Oakland
On October 17, 2026, the Buddhist Church of Oakland celebrates its 125th anniversary. BCO will commemorate the anniversary with a series of events at church followed by a celebration luncheon at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. Here’s the schedule of the day’s events:
- 10:00 – 11:00: Special service at BCO
- 11:30 – noon: Photo of the Sangha in front of the church
- 12:30: Luncheon at the Oakland Asian Community Center (Seating Limited)

Ticket sales begin on June 1st, 2026 for BCO members.
Ticket cost: $75 per person.

2/2/2025 – Naigen Dismantling – Off to Japan
A crew led by Michael Endo and Ron Nomura help dismantle the BCO Naijin (Alter). The center and right portion of the Naijin will be refurbished in Japan and return to BCO in the Spring of 2026.
