The BCSF, together with the BCA Dharma Forward Campaign, is excited to invite all Bay District temples to a special homecoming performance by the Grateful Crane Ensemble, on Saturday, November 15, 2025. “Living Gratitude: A Musical Journey — Celebrating 125 Years of BCA,” was written by longtime BCSF and Bay District member, Soji Kashiwagi. We will be gathering in our historic gym for a bento luncheon and performance. The bento luncheon (optional) will begin at 12:30 pm and the show will start at 2 pm. Bonbu JAMS is a showcase highlighting local Bay Area artists. At this event, performers will share their art inspired by Buddhist teachings and personal journeys. Our show’s theme is “Out of the Mud Grows the Lotus: Stories of Resilience.”
Through taiko drumming, original music, spoken word, and more, Bonbu JAMS offers a safe space for us to connect with our bonbu, or imperfect, ordinary selves. We invite people of all ages and backgrounds to join us for this special event.
